Jeanette had to work so we got up early and Sal spent time with her while she was getting ready for work. We were lucky to have the use of their ensuite downstairs so washed my hair and had a lovely shower.

When J had gone to work and Dave had left in his new car acquisition with a unique roar,
we left to spend time looking and walking on the beach with Maddie. It is really beautiful and so worth the effort. A lot of deck chairs overlooking the waves are usually a commemoration of someone. large_163656CA-553E-4CA2-99E6-09CC57968084.jpegDave and Jeanette have one prior to their demise. When we finished our beach walk we came across Dave and his hot rod mates —quite a large contingent.

Spent time in the township-Sal made some purchases at Merrells and then we were on the road again. Went through Tairua and Pauanui which is described as another suburb of Auckland. Called into the Hot Water Beach and spent some time with another family who had a spade. large_C3B769FE-C1B7-4F1D-AF90-14FFF77FA233.jpeglarge_09AE1B07-2C40-41CE-B93C-3B1577ED7BC0.jpeglarge_89FEFE53-1E1A-4F4D-92C1-B0F819B736C5.jpeg
The water was really hot and I needed to get cooled off with waves. I unfortunately got a bee sting that caused a bit of worry. The road is very hilly, high and windy.

When we reached Whitianga large_A97E2FC5-94CE-4BE2-93C7-2DD8E722650A.jpeglarge_F6D7343F-C936-4D42-B7FC-2C8DC31FE026.jpegtried to book in with a boat trip to Cathedral Cove, but the owner said he was in Blenheim and not doing them currently. Visited the I-site to get more assistance but they were struggling to care about what we could want. So gave up on that idea for the day and went to The Lost Spring Spa to spend the afternoon in the hotpools - sipping Pina Colada.
We got the package Dip and Dine, which meant after our swim we had a meal there. Very Pleasant.

We have now booked into the NZMCA park overlooking waterways with extremely large pleasure boats tied up at their holiday homes front door. The weather forecast for the next 4 days is meant to be heavy rain - great timing.
